Holt Allen

Obituary Holt Linsey Allen, 60, of Newport, died Monday, July 18, 2016, at his home. Funeral services will be private. Holt was born in Wayne County on May 26, 1956, to Otis Lee and Pauline Privett Allen. He proudly served his country in the US Navy, and was a roofer by trade. His love of the coast brought him to Carteret County in 1982. He loved to play the guitar and was an avid beach goer and fisherman. He is survived by two sisters, Carolyn "Susie" Holbert, and her husband, Lee, of Seven Springs, and Charlene Wing, and husband, Mike, of Goldsboro; two brothers, Jonnie Allen and Ernest Allen, and wife, Brenda all of Goldsboro; 4 nieces, Chasity Jamerson, Sharon McCall, Katie Allen and Ashley McCall; 4 nephews, Jonnie Allen, Jr., Michael Jones, Daniel Allen, and Josh Ballance. In addition to his parents, Holt was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Joe and Wayne and his sister, Becky. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors Leave, MOPH, P. O.
