Obituary Helen C. Pearce, 93, of Hillsborough, NJ formerly of Morehead City, died Thursday, May 10, 2018, in Hillsborough. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Gethsemane Memorial Park, Hwy 24, Morehead City, with Rev. Tim Havlicek officiating. Mrs. Pearce was born October 05, 1924, in Woburn, Massachusetts to Harry and Bessie Govostes Cassanos. She was a bookkeeper in the construction industry. Before moving to Hillsborough, NJ to be near her family, she was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Morehead City. She is survived by her son, Richard Allison Pearce, of Hillsborough, NJ; daughter, Betsy Pearce Smith, of Union, NJ; 1 brother, Arthur Cassanos, of Richmond, VA; 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pearce was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Pearce; a brother, James Cassanos and a sister, Mary Peene. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials in Helens name be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1604 Arendell Street, Morehead City, NC 28557.
