Harriet Migli

Harriet Migli, 81, of Peletier, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at her home.

Harriet devoted her life to nurturing her family as a caring mother to four sons. Her warmth and wisdom guided them through life's challenges and joys. Alongside her role as a homemaker, Harriet's sharp mind and attention to detail served her well in her professional capacity as a bookkeeper, a role in which she excelled and earned the respect of her colleagues.

Her commitment to the well-being of others extended beyond her immediate family. Harriet was an active volunteer on the local school board where her boys attended and a passionate supporter of the cancer center at Carteret Health Care. Her tireless efforts and compassionate spirit made a lasting impact on the community she so dearly loved.

She is survived by her four sons, Nathan Kanarek and wife, Kim of Hobart, NY, Joseph Kanarek and wife, Melissa of Apex, NC; Elliot Kanarek and wife, Shari of Clayton, NC, and Harold Kanarek of Peletier; seven grandchildren, Derek, Ethan, Noah, Daniel, Matthew, Karly, and Jacob; brother, Melvyn Carlin of Bergenfield, NJ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ethel Carlin and her husband, Frank Migli.
