Gladys Buzzell

Obituary Gladys Lorraine Buzzell, 73, of Swansboro, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Crystal Coast Hospice House. At her request, there will be no services. Gladys was born in Allegheny County, PA on August 17, 1944, to Ernest and Stephanie Suich. She lived in Maine from the 1970s until retirement age. In 2011, Gladys and her husband resettled in Swansboro. Gladys maintained a photo, travel and lifestyle blog at www.moosetique.com. through which she made many lasting friendships from around the country. She was a proud member of the Coastal Photo Club in New Bern, North Carolina. During her life, she fought cancer four times over 16 years and was an active advocate for cancer research. Gladys is survived by her husband of 34 years, , Stephen Buzzell ; daughter, Tracey Nadeau of Lisbon Falls, Maine; son, Jeff Kitch of Hiram, Maine; son, Troy Kitch, and his wife, Maria, of Middletown, Maryland; granddaughter, Kendra Kitch, of Hiram, Maine; aunt, Olga Stanko, of Pittsburgh, PA; brother, Ernest Suich, and his wife, Ruth, of Garrison, North Dakota; brother, Ronald Suich, and his wife, Kathy, of Cochranton, PA; and sister-in-law, Barbara Buzzell, of Wiscassett, Maine. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials in Gladys name be made to either the Crystal Coast Hospice House, 100 Big Rock Weigh, Newport, NC 28570 or to the American Cancer Society, 2202 Wrightsville Ave., Suite 111, Wilmington, NC 28403.
