Obituary Gertrude Cole Cavett, 87, of Beaufort, died Friday, May 1, 2015, at her home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Carteret Memorial Gardens, Beaufort, with the Rev. John B. Carlisto officiating. She is survived by her son, David Cavett, of Beaufort; brother, Edgar Cole and wife, Edith, of Beaufort; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Pauls Episcopal Church, 215 Ann Street, Beaufort, NC 28516.
