Frieda Willis

Obituary Frieda Lewis Willis, 79, of Morehead City, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at Carteret Health Care. Her memorial service is Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Brooks Funeral Home, with Jimmy Parker officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. Mrs. Willis was born in Morehead City, November 27, 1937, to Fred Gordon and Elsie Murphy Lewis. She was a 1956 graduate of Morehead City High School, and remained close to her classmates throughout her life. She loved all animals and never let one go hungry. Frieda had many artistic and creative hobbies from painting to crocheting. She was an avid reader, never met a stranger, and everyone that knew her loved her. She is survived by her son, Henry Clark, and his wife, Anita, of Pflugerville, Texas; daughters, Cecily Grigoriou, and her husband, Alex, of Germantown, MD; Sylvia Rae Willis, and husband, Ho Sung Cho, of San Diego, CA, Cynthia Jean Willis, of San Diego; and Michelle Rae Willis Reeves and her husband, Brian, of Fort Mill, SC, and her grand-daughter, Sabrina Lathan Reeves. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Willis is preceded in death by her husband, LtCol Raymond Earl Willis. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
