Frank Garfield Lynch

Obituary Francis "Frank" Garfield Lynch, 72, of Morehead City, NC passed at his home on February 16, 2023, the anniversary of his parents passing, Francis Wayne and Opal Lynch in 1975. Frank was reared in Kansas and soon after graduating high school he joined the United States Navy where he had aspired to be a mechanic, but the Navy sent him to dental school instead. His military service took him to California, Guam, Virginia, Jacksonville, North Carolina and lastly Cherry Point, North Carolina. It was during this time he met and married Nancy Banks Lynch, a union that lasted 40 years and blessed them with one son, Franklin Wayne Lynch. He was a die-hard Nascar fan always pulling for FORD drivers in both the truck and stock car series. He enjoyed watching football and baseball. He loved to clean and tinker on vehicles, which lead to a job with Enterprise that he had for many years. He also took flying lessons because of his love of airplanes. If it had a motor in it he was interested. If you were ever around Frank you would quickly learn of his passions in life because he loved to talk about them and get your opinion as well. Franks wishes to be returned to Kansas and laid to rest by his parents will be honored with a military service at a later date. His family appreciates your prayers as they lean on their faith and learn to navigate life without him. Frank is survived by his wife, Nancy and son, Wayne both of the home. His sister, Rosemary (Chuck) Alford of Kansas. His mother-in-law, June Banks of Morehead City, North Carolina. He had several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews both in North Carolina and Kansas and one cousin, Paul Morgan of Idaho.
