Frances was born in Morehead City, to Luther "Luke" Rowe Lawrence and Mary Elizabeth Bell Lawrence. She is survived by a daughter, Christie W. Penny of Newport; three sons, Brian Chad Willis of Micro, NC, Jason Cooper Willis, Sr., of Simpsonville, SC, and Mark Willis of Simpsonville, SC; thirteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, her husband and love of her life, Willie Bryan Willis preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carteret Health Care Foundation for Cancer Services (RAAB and Coleman Clinics) Fund, P.O. Drawer 1619, Morehead City, NC 28557.
