Obituary Frances Fran Arduini, 89, of Newport, NC, formerly of Fort Plain, NY died Sunday, October 26, 2014, in Austin, TX. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 30, at Brooks Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas R. Davis officiating. The interment will be private. She was born in Canajoharie, NY on January 18, 1925 to Michael and Elizabeth Roberts Acovangelo. She was employed as a Registered Nurse for 25 years with Craven Regional Medical Center, New Bern, NC. She is survived by her son, Michael D. Arduini and wife, Sarah, of Austin, TX; grandson, Mickey Arduini of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Mickeys mother, Ellen Piver, of Beaufort, NC. In addition to her parents, her brother, Miguel Acovangelo, preceded her in death. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Straits United Methodist Church, 311 Straits Road, Straits, NC 28516.
