Elnor Brickhouse

Obituary Elnor Rae Brickhouse, 73, of Atlantic, died Saturday, October 3, 2015, at PruittHealth, Sea Level. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, at Atlantic Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry McInnis officiating. The interment will follow at the Atlantic Community Cemetery. She was born in Mt. Olive, NC on August 13, 1942 to Maurice and Essie Sullivan Barwick. Always having a love for children, Mrs. Brickhouse took care of many children in her home and for many years was in charge of the church nursery. She was a member of Atlantic Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Mary B. Baker and husband, Brent Baker, of Williston, NC; sisters, Rose Carter of Mt. Olive, NC and Mary Willis of Newport, NC; granddaughters, Caroline Baker and Carrie Baker; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, her husband, Harry Brickhouse, Jr., and brothers, Ronald Barwick and Jimmy Barwick, preceded her in death. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Atlantic Missionary Baptist Church, 926 Seashore Drive, Atlantic, NC 28511 or PruittHealth Activity Department, 468 Hwy 70 East, Sea Level, NC 28577.
