Obituary 1-888-579-7953 Code: 2002089P Eleanor Stroud Zurek, 78, of Newport, died June 2, 2015, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport. At Mrs. Zureks request, there will be no services. Mrs. Zurek was born in Lenoir County August 8, 1936 to Herbert Wayne and Sammie Smith Stroud. Before her retirement, she was co-owner of Crystal Coast Crafters. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, one sister and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Zurek, her daughter, Denise Fuller, and 5 siblings.
