Obituary Edward C. Butch Wood, 73, of Newport, died Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Carteret General Hospital. A private service will be held. He was born December 29, 1941 in Sutersville, PA to James Wood and Christine Irene Huseman Wood. He is survived by his wife, Frances L. Wood; son, Edward L. Wood of Coal Center, PA; daughter, Georgia Zowacki of West Newton, PA; sister, Doris Irene Matthews of West Newton, PA; four grandchildren. In addition to his parents, his daughter, Barbara Jean Wood, preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carteret General Hospital Foundation for the Raab Clinic, P.
