Obituary Edith Baer Cole, 76, of Beaufort died Thursday, January 25, 2018, at her home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, at Ann Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Taylor Mills officiating. The interment will follow at Ocean View Cemetery. She was born September 22, 1941 in Easton, MD to Arthur Elwood Baer and Margaret DeGruchy Baer. She married Edgar Earl Cole on February 20, 1960 in Beaufort. Edith traveled a lot during her childhood as her father was in the Army. One of her favorite places was Taiwan. She shared so many wonderful memories with her family of her time there. She was our sunshine and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Cole Carraway and husband David of Suffolk, VA and Lori Cole Warren of Beaufort; brother, Arthur E. Baer, Jr. and wife Jackie of Springfield, VA; granddaughter, Lily Warren of Beaufort and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Eure Building of Ann Street United Methodist Church prior to the service from 10:00 11:00 a.m. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Earl Cole.
