Obituary Earl Allan Ullman, 86, of Morehead City, died Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Carteret General Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7, at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 612 S. College Road, Wilmington, NC. Mr. Ullman was born October 15, 1928, in Kearny, NJ to Walter and Edith Ullman. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Ullman was an alumnus of Columbia University and worked as an engineer in the aeronautics industry and later in his life taught math and science in the New Jersey Public School System. He was a member of St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wilmington. He is survived by his wife, Doris E. Ullman, of Morehead City; two children, Karin E. Glander and husband, Robert, of Morehead City, and Douglas E. Ullman and wife, Barbara, of Glen Allen, VA; daughter-in-law, Deborah Ullman of Wellington, FL, six grandchildren, Mark C. Glander of Norman, OK; Douglas E. Ullman, Jr., of Alexandria, VA; Andrew E. Ullman, of Glen Allen, VA; LT Kristen L. Ullman, USN of Philadelphia, PA; Erika E. Glander, of Raleigh; Marissa R. Ullman of Detroit, MI , and one sister Dorothy U. Turner, of Orono, ME. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, CDR Keith Allan Ullman, USNR (Ret.), and a brother, CDR Robert Ullman, USN (Ret.)
