Obituary Douglas Emory Freeman, 70, of Newport, passed away on July 17, 2020 at the Carteret House of Newport. Douglas will be remembered as a kind man who was always trying brighten others days with jokes, songs and funny stories. Services are pending. He is survived by his son, Jordan Freeman and wife Lydia Freeman; two grandsons, Logan and Landon Freeman; his sister, Ina Collins and her husband Randy Collins.
