Dolores Martynowski

Obituary Dolores Florence Martynowski, 82, of Pine Knoll Shores, died on January 6, 2015, at home. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Sheperd of the Sea Lutheran Church, Atlantic Beach, with the pastor, the Rev. Scott Berry officiating. Dolores was born March 17, 1932, in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Anthony and Florentine Amrozewicz Sorrentino. Upon her husbands retirement twenty years ago, they moved to Pine Knoll Shores. She volunteered as a pharmacy technician and enjoyed working with Broad Street Clinic. She was a member of the Ancient Mariners Bowling Team, associate member of the Marine Corps League, Cherry Point Detachment, Pine Knoll Shores EMS Squad and a member of the Pine Knoll Shores Womens Club. She enjoyed playing golf with her friends at Bogue Banks Country Club. She was an active member of Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church and a member of the choir. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and an exceptional neighbor. Mrs. Martynowski is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas; one daughter, Lorraine Marie Plantone of Easton, PA; a son, Thomas Franklin Martynowski, Jr. of Basking Ridge, NJ; one sister, Rose Marie Arnao of Hampstead, NC; one brother, Vincent Sorrentino, of NJ; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
