Obituary 1-888-579-7953 Code: 2002089P Dolores Marie Green, 84, formally of Ocean Isle, North Carolina passed away peacefully on November 4, 2017 at the Brookdale Senior Center in Morehead City. Born on June 3, 1933, Dolores (Dolly) was the daughter of the late Michael Harcarik and Veronica Jozefcik. She married Michael (Mike) Joseph Green, on January 17, 1953 at St. Gabriels Catholic Church in Pittsburgh. They spent their early years together in Pittsburgh before moving with their two sons to Durham, NC in 1967. She was a stay-at-home Mom and shared 62 years of marriage with her high school sweetheart. Dolly was an avid sports fan and supporter of Pittsburgh Steelers football and Duke University basketball. She loved her miniature schnauzer Pepper, working in her flower garden and snow. She liked to cook and spent most of her time reminding her two sons to clean after themselves. She is best remembered for her witty sense of humor, meticulous nature and attention-to-detail. Dolly was preceded in death by her husband Mike, sister Florence Jean Hlister, and daughter-in-law Patricia McClellan-Green. She is survived by sons David Patrick Green and Kenneth Michael Green and wife Nancy. She has five grandchildren; Joseph Marshall, William David, Scott Thomas, Aprille Carrie and husband Joe, Andrew Tyler and wife Ashley; and one great grandson, James Barrett Lee. She will be interned in the columbarium at Saint Brendans Catholic Church in Ocean Isle and a memorial service is planned later for family and close friends.
