Delma Price

Obituary Delma Parker Price, 92, of Wilmington, formerly of Salter Path and Havelock, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice, Wilmington. Her funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, at Brooks Funeral Home with the Rev. Powell Osteen officiating. The interment will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Ridge-View Memorial Gardens, Eden, NC, with the Rev. Gene McDuffy officiating. Mrs. Price, one of twelve children, was born in Aulander, NC on August 12, 1922 to Curtis and Daisey Cofield Parker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and during World War II was a Rosie the Riveter. She is survived by her daughters, Judith Price Elkins and husband, Bobby, of Fuquay-Varina and Joyce Price Spears and husband, Dickie, of Wilmington; grandchildren, Jimmy Elkins and Molly Spears; great-grandchildren, Laurel, Perry, Doeglan, and Mollie. In addition to her parents and eleven siblings, her husband, Herman Reaves Price, and grandson, Richard Richie Spears, preceded her in death.
