Obituary Deborah Lynn Fitzgerald, 68, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, August 15, 2021. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Debbie was born in Syracuse, NY and attended Liverpool High School. In her 20s, she worked as a hairdresser, in 1986 went to work for UPS. She retired from UPS in 2007. Throughout her life, she found joy in helping other people wherever there was a need. She frequently donated her time and energy to the United Way, NC Victims Assistance Network and with various Domestic Violence Organizations. Debbie loved cooking, boating with family and friends, anything "beachy", and her dog Lola. She never left the house without showing her style and grace. Her smile would light up the room. She is survived by her daughter Danna (Gerald) Cates of Cape Carteret, NC, stepdaughters Amy DiCicco of Mebane, NC and Traci Phillips of Greensboro, NC. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Emma Broom, Joshua Carelli, and Allie Phillips; and one great-grandchild: Blakely Carelli. Debbie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Pardy and Pearl Zollo; her granddaughter, Lillian Grace Broom; and the love of her life Richard Rosati.
