Deanna Messer

Obituary Deanna Jane Messer age 77 of Newport passed away June 20, 2018 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House. The family will celebrate Deannas life during a visitation from 4 pm to 6 pm on Sunday, June 24 at Brooks Funeral Home, 201 Professional Cir. Morehead City. Deanna was born in Muncie, Indiana, on March 31, 1941 to Veachel and Mary Haynes. She married Joseph Messer on August 22, 1968. Deanna was a multifaceted individual, from chemistry to real estate she excelled in everything she put her mind to. Her most prized occupation though was that of Mom and Mamma. She was devoted to her family and would do anything for her "babies. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards with friends and traveling throughout the country. Deanna is survived by her husband Joe, her four children; Nick Long and his wife Jennifer, Chris Long and his wife Gay, Mary (Mem) MacPherson and her husband Jamie, and Randy Messer and his wife Lynn; her siblings, David Haynes and his wife Gykala, Danny Haynes and his wife Bonnie and Debbie Smith and her husband Louie; and by her precious eight grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Deanna was preceded in death by her dear granddaughter, Blair.
