Obituary David Lee Meeks, 61, of Emerald Isle, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at his home. He was a member of Gorman Baptist Church of Durham. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Gorman Baptist Church in Durham, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from1:00 to 2:00 pm. He is survived by his two sons, Brandon Meeks of Oxford; Jon Meeks of Oxford; step-son, PO1 Nick Lamm II (USN) and wife, Christy of Jacksonville, FL; step granddaughter, Zoey Lamm of Jacksonville, FL; mother, Bonnie Taylor Meeks of Beaufort; brother Bradley Rae Meeks and wife, Sharon of Durham; and the mother of his children, Angie Wright Meeks of Oxford; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
