David Hathaway

May 29, 1981 — February 23, 2024

David Hathaway, 42, passed away Friday February 23, 2024, in Los Angeles, CA.

Born in Princeton, New Jersey, David spent his formative years in the coastal town of Morehead City, North Carolina. It was there that he developed his love for the beach, surfing, and running cross country. The waves became his sanctuary where he found peace. The beach held a special place in his heart, offering both adventure and tranquility. This is what led him to serve in the United States Coast Guard. The waves and sunshine also led him to spend his adult years in California.

He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and academic prowess. David graduated magna cum laude from Brandman University and was on the path to obtaining his master's degree. His dedication to academia was matched only by his passion for nurturing life in his garden, where he found solace and joy amidst nature's beauty.

Known for his infectious laughter and penchant for cracking jokes, David had a special gift for bringing smiles to the faces of his loved ones. His vibrant personality lit up any room, and his ability to connect with others on a deeper level will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

David is survived by his mother, Mary Warstler of Morehead City, NC; Daughter, Olivia Pavon and Husband Pablo of Manteo, NC; Grandson, Judah Pavon of Manteo, NC; Sister, Jessica Parker and Husband, Hugh of Morehead City, NC; Nieces, Brionna Camilo, Emilia Parker, Lucy Parker of Morehead City, NC; Grandparents, Bruce and Adele DeLuca of Morehead City, NC; Aunt, Betty Cameron of Jackson, NJ; Uncle Fred DeLuca and wife Lisa of Mesa, Arizona and many beloved cousins.

David was preceded in death by his father, David Charles Hathaway; Brother, Daniel Camilo; Daughter Avery; Longtime Sponsor Scott.

He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
