Obituary David William Evans, 67, of Morehead City, died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at CarolinaEast Medical Center, New Bern. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Unitarian Coastal Fellowship, Morehead City, with the pastor, the Rev. Sally White, officiating. Mr. Evans was born on April 22, 1947, in Los Angeles, CA, to William and Til Ferryman Evans. He was a research scientist with NOAA for more than 30 years. Mr. Evans was devoted to his church, Unitarian Coastal Fellowship, enjoyed travel and photography. He was beloved by his family, community, and colleagues, and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his sons, Colin Anderson-Evans of East Palo Alto, CA, and Eliot Anderson-Evans of Raleigh; mother, Til Evans of Pulman, WA; sister, Rebecca Evans of San Jose, CA; brothers, Mark Evans of Pulman, WA and Chris Evans of Los Angeles, CA. In addition to his father, his sister, Jane Evans, preceded him in death.
