David Anderegg Sr.

David Louis Anderegg Sr., 91, of Morehead City passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Carteret Health Care of Morehead City.

A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, September 20, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church in Morehead City.

David proudly served in the US Air Force before embarking on a diverse career that included roles in real estate and construction. His dedication to helping others was evident in his volunteer work with disaster relief efforts through the Salvation Army.

A devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Morehead City, David also contributed his musical talents to the church choir, enriching many services and gatherings.

In addition to his professional and spiritual contributions, David was a dedicated foster parent, opening his home and heart to children in need, providing them with love, guidance, and stability.

He is survived by his wife, MaryLena Anderegg of Morehead City; three sons, David Louis Anderegg Jr. and wife, Andrea of Atlanta, GA; Joshua Davis Anderegg and wife, Jessica of Pittsburg, PA; Akira Sasahra and wife, Annette of Tokyo, Japan; 18 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; brother, Richard Anderegg and wife, Pamela of San Antonio, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rupert Andrew Anderegg and Maybelle Davis Anderegg; two brothers, Rupert Andrew Anderegg Jr. and wife, Jane; James Anderegg and wife, Florence “Ronnie”; and his daughter, Lisa Anderegg Angle.
