Cruz Trevino Schleupner

Cruz Trevino Schleupner, known affectionately as Cruz to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2024, in New Bern, NC, due to heart failure. Born on May 3, 1946, in Laredo, TX.

A celebration of life will be on Saturday, February 24th at 11:00 a.m. at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City, NC.

Her heart, however, belonged foremost to her family. Cruz was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, David Hanna, and her devoted spouse, Andrew Schleupner. Despite these profound losses, Cruz's love never wavered, and she continued to be a source of strength to her surviving daughter, Judy Andersen, son-in-law Mark Andersen, and grandsons, Brenten and Colby Andersen.

Cruz Trevino Schleupner's life was a tapestry of love, care, and creativity—a life that was as extraordinary as the woman herself. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her and will be remembered for the light she brought into the lives of others.
