Obituary 'Cristy Marie Gore of Newport, NC passed away unexpectedly in her home the morning of Saturday, August 27th at the age of 51. Arrangements are pending and will be announced later. Cristy loved with all her heart and would help a friend in any way that she could. She had a passion for music, family and her pets Travis, Ziggy, and Monkey. She is survived by her grandmother, Edna Lambright to whom she cared for deeply, as well as her nieces and nephews, Kerra and husband Aaron Rinere of Wilmington, NC. Myranda and husband Dylan Gillikin of Otway, NC. Arin Swanner of Washington, NC. Colby Gore of Newport, NC and great nieces Emersyn and Mabry Gillikin of Otway, NC. She is preceded in death by both parents, father, James Irving Gore of Wilmington, NC and mother, Margaret 'Peggy' Garner of Newport, NC.' Below is a poem Cristy wrote: 'What I like most is the air that I breathe. What I like most is the green in the leaves. What I like most is the light in the day, and how the light falls, and takes it away. What I like most is to see a smile. What I like most is a laugh for a while. What I like most is the time in the day, And when I sleep, how it takes time away. What I like most is the heart in has soul. What I like most is for love to grow slow. What I like most is the subtle way, And knowing how quick it can be taken away.'
