This 5th generation Webb of Carteret County is predeceased in death by her husband, Paul (Sonny) Hamilton Geer, Jr., married 58 years. "Crinnie Bell" was born December 17, 1935, in Morehead City to David Battle and Eleanor Lois Davis Webb. She is survived by her children, Paul Hamilton Geer, III, wife Nancy Simpson, grandson Matthew Jordan. Lois Webb Geer, grandson Nathan Paul VanHoy, granddaughter Elizabeth Claire VanHoy. Webb Lazenby Geer, wife Sharon, granddaughters Cameron Leigh, Sarah Lindley & Skylar Harrelson. Sister, Lois Ervin Webb Bunn, late husband, John Thomas. Beloved cousins Ruth Webb Bailey, James Webb, Ann Darden Webb Hill, Rosemary Fredrick Kumpel, David Nelson, Cecil Nelson, Sally Elizabeth Fulford, awesome nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors, and colleagues. Corinne was educated in the local public Morehead City Schools, Wake Forest College, took advantage of the many courses offered at Carteret Community College & the School of Government, University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. Her professional career included Webbs Store, Geer Oil Company, Tenney & Associates, Putnam Agency-Broker, Special Education Program - Carteret County Schools, Administration Carteret County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, Finance Officer, Town Clerk, Tax Collector-Town of Pine Knoll Shores, Register of Deeds Carteret County, and Town of Beaufort Interim Manager. Corinnes love of family and home is demonstrated in her civic activities. Throughout her life she worked to improve the quality of life for us all through serving on different boards, societies, clubs, and councils. The Carteret County Planning Boards, Board of Equalization & Review, Morehead City Planning Board & Advisory Council, as well as West Carteret High School. As well, the Friends of the Webb Library, Carteret County Historical Society-The History Place, Marthas Mission, Junior Womens Club, Cub Scout Den Mother, Carteret County Choral Society, Business & Professional Womens, Carteret County Democratic Women, League of Women Voters, District Coordinator NC United for ERA: Equal Rights Amendment, Pilots Club, Friends of the College, Aquarium Society of NC, Pine Knoll Shores Rescue Squad: EMT, First Baptist Church Finance Committee & Choir. In lieu of flowers, Corinne asks that you volunteer your time to help someone else. Please drop the family a note to let them know what you have done to enhance our city, county, country, and world.
