Obituary Connie Cain, 82, of Morehead City, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Universal Healthcare, Fuquay-Varina. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 31 at Brooks Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. John Langham officiating. The interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park. She was born in Roanoke, VA on February 26, 1933. Mrs. Cain was a member of the Ladies Golf Association at Morehead City Country Club where she was the club champion in four consecutive decades beginning in the 1970s. She retired from Carolina Telephone as a customer service representative. She is survived by her daughter, Roni Cain of Beaufort; sons, Steve Cain of Mount Pleasant, SC, Dave Cain and wife, Stephanie, of Ayden, NC and Danny Cain and wife, Mary Lahr, of Willow Spring, NC; sisters, Marion Royston and Ruth Weimer both of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Jessie Hunnings, Sully Cain, Evan Cain, Emma Cain, and Carson Cain. Her husband of 53 years, Jerry Cain, preceded her in death. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
