Obituary Connie Tucker Boyd, 67, of Pine Knoll Shores, died on Friday, March 21, 2014, at home. No services are scheduled locally. Mrs. Boyd was born on December 5, 1946, in Birmingham, Alabama, to O.R. and Vivian Tucker. She spent her formative years in Helena, Arkansas, and graduated with honors from the University of Central Arkansas. She also earned a masters degree in business administration at the University of Tulsa. Her teaching career spanned middle school through college, and in North Carolina she was a teacher at Morehead Middle School and Havelock High School. She is survived by her husband, Dale Everett Boyd, and brothers, Ray Tucker of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Alan Tucker of Birmingham, Alabama. Her parents preceded her in death.
