Obituary Claudette Wilson Fonseca, 78, of Newport, died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Carteret Health Care. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 19, 2017 at St. Pauls Episcopal Church with the Rev. Mary Ogus presiding. Claudette was born January 24, 1939 in South Creek, Beaufort County, NC. She is the daughter of John Woodrow Wilson and Cottie Midyette Wilson. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Fonseca of Newport: two sons, Eric Tomlinson and wife Barbara, of Gastonia, and Chuck Fonseca, III, of Manassas, VA.; a sister; Cathy Poole and husband Rodney, of Garner; a brother J.W. Wilson and wife Geneva of Adamsville, AL; two grandchildren, Megan Tomlinson of Greenville and Kevin Tomlinson and wife Jessica of Raleigh. The family will receive friends in the church parish hall following the service. Her parents preceded her in death.
