Christopher Siegel

November 7, 1951 — March 30, 2017

Obituary Chris, born November 7, 1951, quietly passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017, in the presence of his wife Annie and several dear friends. He received a stem cell transplant in 2013 giving him the opportunity to enjoy the gift of a longer life. He lived those extra years with grace, dignity and humor in spite of difficult health complications. Born to Bud and Margot Siegel, Chris spent his childhood in the Village of Shoreham on Long Island in New York. He graduated high school from The Hinckley School in Maine and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stockton College in New Jersey. His love of boat building, sailing, wood working and music led him down many paths in his life. He would touch many friends and family with his talent and wit. His imaginative intelligence made him a master craftsmen and artist. Chris will be profoundly missed by his wife, Annie Greenman-Siegel. Her great loss is shared by his 2 sons, Joshua Moody and Matt Moody, and Matts 2 children; Chris sister, Laurie Columbia and her children, a loving extended family, countless friends and the medical community that gave him the best care possible. Even though we are broken by his loss, his light will forever shine through. "The song is ended, but the melody lingers on". A celebration of life service will be held Friday, April 7th at 4:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City, NC followed by a reception at Backstreet Pub, 124 Middle Lane, Beaufort, NC.
