Charles Miller

Obituary Charles Leslie Miller, 92, of Pine Knoll Shores, died Monday, February 8, 2016, at his home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, at Brooks Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Supplee officiating. The interment will be private. He was born May 25, 1923 in Hallstead, PA to Leslie William and Jessie Elizabeth Sandell Miller. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II and had a career with IBM as a manufacturing engineer. Mr. Miller enjoyed golf, tennis, and yard work and cherished visits with his family. He is survived by his son, Edward William Miller and wife Maureen of Cary; daughters, Marjorie Miller Hollowell and husband, Michael of Charlotte, and Pamela Joyce Miller of Fayetteville; sisters, Dorothy Armstrong and Ethel Smith both of Florida; brothers, Clifford Miller and Paul Miller both of New York; grandchildren, Jordan Miller, Kevin Hollowell, Sarah Hollowell, Emily Lewis and David Lewis; great-grandchild, David Lewis, Jr. In addition to his parents, his wife of nearly 60 years Jean Shirley Miller, sister, Rose Helen Johnson and brothers, James Miller, Edward Miller, and Howard Miller preceded him in death. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for 30 minutes prior to the service. Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to Carteret Health Care Foundation for Hospice, P. O.
