Obituary Chamberlain Kelly Jr. 82, passed away peacefully at his home on July 10th, in New Bern, NC after a brief illness. He was born in Manhattan, NY on Feb. 22, 1933 to Chamberlain and Annie Kelly, the eldest of three children. Chamberlain attended New York City Public Schools and then served as a US Marine for over twenty years. After retiring from the Marines, he owned and operated Kellys Janitorial Service for more than thirty years. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Rosemary, of the home, and four sons, Gary (Lynda) of Columbia, SC, Chamberlain (Kimberly) of Columbia, SC, Rodney (Kim) of Greenville, NC and Timothy (Alvena) of Greenville, N.C. and one sister, Betty Kelly, of Manhattan, NY, seven grandchildren, Gabrielle, Anthony, Lauren and Morgan of Columbia, SC, Tamisha (Reginald), of New Bern, NC, Tasma, of High Point, NC, and Tamera of Atlanta Georgia, and eight greatgrands, Peyten, Akymah, Zyrell, Austin, Cullen, Xyla, Syncere and Legacy. Chamberlain was preceded in death by both parents as well as his brother James Kelly. On June 24th 1956, he married his sweetheart Rosemary and they shared a very happy life together for 59 years. He was a very thoughtful and loving husband. Every morning he would bring her coffee in bed before he started his day. He never missed sending her roses on their anniversary, the last anniversary even though he was bedridden and very ill, he did not forget. Pop as he was affectionately known by his sons and grands, was a genuinely kind and loving father and grandfather. He had a special relationship with each of them as well as his daughters in law. He will truly be missed. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses on Saturday, July 18th @ 2:00. The address is 2750 Amhurst Blvd., New Bern, NC 28562.
