Catherine 'Nancy Nurse' Sharp

Obituary Catherine Ann Sharp was born August 9, 1926 and passed into Heaven on February 14, 2015. At her request, there will be a Memorial Service and scattering of ashes in the spring. Mrs. Sharp was born in Washington, DC, a 5th generation Washingtonian and daughter of William and Margaret Brown Cutler. She spent her life taking care of her children and the elderly as a Licensed Visiting Nurse for Fairfax County, VA and an employee of Angels at Your Service. She moved to North Carolina in 2006 to spend her golden years in a warmer climate. She will be remembered by her family and friends as being loving, strong, independent and always concerned for the well being of others. Catherine was a voracious reader, enjoyed being active and doing new and fun things, and was often referred to as a force to be reckoned with. She is survived by her brother, George Martin Cutler, and wife, Jerry, of Montrose, VA; her six pack of children; Sandra Sanderson and husband, Ed, of Havelock, Susan Brown and husband, Glenn, of Morehead City and Vienna, VA, Howard "Bud" Sharp of Galveston, TX, Sarah Roach of Venice, FL, Margot Petz of Morehead City and Brenda Siegel of Alexandria, VA. She is grandmother to Gina Silvey of Nashville, TN, Wayne Dellibove, and wife, Tracey, of Midland, VA, Kate Moore and husband, Jordan, of Alexandria, VA, Allen Brown of Vienna, VA, David and Kelly Roach of Venice, FL and Victoria and Lori Sanderson of Pensacola, FL. She is great grandmother to Steven, Madison, Alexis, Ryan, Brandon and Austyn. Her parents preceded her in death.. The Family requests that any remembrances made be to the NVCC Educational Foundation Inc, Harriet Fatzinger Nursing Memorial Fund, 7630 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA 22003, in the name of Catherine Ann Sharp to provide scholarships for nursing students.
