Obituary Carolyn Bibbs Gore, 70, of Newport, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at her home in Newport. The family will celebrate her life privately. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Gore of Newport; son, Jason Lee Shannon and wife, Shelley of Salter Path; two sisters, Patsey Jefferson of Greenville, NC; Brenda Bibbs of Greenville, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Erlene Bibbs; and her brother, Randy Bibbs.
