He was born July 13, 1948 in Tannersville, PA to Vincent and Rebecca Hotmer Marek. He was a member of the Monroe Royal Arch Masonic Chapter #281 and the Samuel S. Yohe Knights Templar Commandery #81, both of Stroudsburg, PA. He is survived by his wife, Jamie Smith Marek; daughter, Danyelle Carter of Morehead City; son, Kyle Marek and wife Kelly of Morehead City; grandchildren, Klint Marek and Kamdyn Marek; brother, Chris Marek of Stroudsburg, PA.
