He had been a member of St. Peters United Methodist Church, and later First United Methodist Church, both in Morehead City. He enjoyed running and developed a passion for skateboarding early in life. He found comfort in music, nature, prayer and reading the Bible. He attended churches at various locations in Asheville. He is survived by his parents, Dr. Ralph and Karen Lewis of Morehead City; a sister, Renee E.
