Beverly Nalls

Obituary Beverly Jean Nalls, 61, of Midland, Michigan, formerly of Newport, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Tony and Trish House for Hospice in Midland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at St. Egbert Catholic Church, with the pastor, Rev. Thomas Davis, officiating. Following a reception at the church, burial will take place at Ameriah Garner Cemetery, in Newport. She was born November 23, 1955, in Oahu, Hawaii to William B. and Barbara Marie Funk. She graduated from Garfield High School in Woodbridge, VA and was a preschool teacher and a home day care provider. She was also involved with Girl Scouts and Childrens Religious Education. She is survived by her children, Richard Calawartz, and his wife, Danielle, of Virginia, Angela Pavlowski, and husband, Ben, of Michigan and Michael Nalls, of Newport; her mother, Barbara Funk of Newport; her siblings, Brenda Ryan, and her husband, Robert, of Crestview, FL, Bridget Sauer, and her husband, Carl, of Newport, Bernadette Starnes, and her husband, Steve, of Newport, Beth Collins, and her husband, Tim, of Haymarket, Virginia, and Patricia King, and her husband, David, of Havelock; 8 grandchildren. Mrs. Nalls was preceded in death by an infant son, James, her husband, Ralph Nalls (April 16, 2010) and her father, William B. Funk, (March 18, 2017).
