Obituary Belinda Guthrie, 57, of Harkers Island, died Friday, August 12, 2016. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 15, 2016, at 2:00 PM in Vergie Mae Cemetery, Harkers Island, with Rev. Rick Rose officiating. Mrs. Guthrie was a native of Carteret County, born to Robie and Inez Gaskill on August 28, 1958. Until her son was born, she was a home health nurse. She was a homemaker for the last 20 years. She is survived by her husband, Stacy Guthrie; daughter, Rebecca Dawn Starks of Beaufort, son, Stanton Guthrie of Harkers Island; a step-daughter, Tracy Tosto of Beaufort, and step-sons, Brad Hall of Sea Level and Gordon Hall of Mississippi, brother, William Salter of Boaz, AL; 4 sisters, Elizabeth Mason of Sea Level, Sylvia Davis of Beaufort, Leotta Guthrie and Dorothy Hargett, both of Harkers Island; and 5 grand-children. Belinda was preceded in death by her parents.
