Becky George

Becky Jean George, 52, of Havelock, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. 

Becky was a devoted wife and mother whose love and dedication to her family was paramount. She created a warm and welcoming home filled with love and laughter. Becky was a true people person; she had a way of connecting with others and would always make time to share a cup of coffee. She was a great listener and a steadfast friend. With an open heart and genuine concern for others she never shied away from providing blunt and honest advice. Her straightforwardness, coupled with her caring nature made her guidance invaluable to many.

She was always willing to help others, even if it meant sacrificing her needs. Her selflessness and generosity touched many lives and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Her love for children was evident in the joy she found in making them happy and teaching them to be silly. Becky had a playful spirit and enjoyed spending time fishing, riding 4-wheelers or just sitting outside talking for hours.

To her family and many others, Becky was the rock upon which they relied - their source of strength, support, and unwavering love. She will be missed by us all.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney George of Havelock, son, Brian Murdock and wife, Danielle of Havelock; son, AJ (Andrew) Murdock and wife, Alex of Ayden; five sisters, a grandchild, nieces and nephews, great nieces, and nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond, and Margie Blanton.
