Obituary Barbara Wigger, 70, of Newport, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023, at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Davis First Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Melton officiating. Barbara was born on November 13, 1952, in Morehead City. She attended West Carteret High School. She held various positions throughout her career, outside of the home, primarily dealing with title work. She ran a NCDMV office under contract for many years, then continued doing title work for various dealers. Barbara collected various frog related items over the years, which she displayed in her home. She had frogs on everything, from towels to flowerpots, plastering them in every room. It was something that made her unique and loved, making people smile, while making her house a home. She would call family and friends to leave little voicemails just to say that she loved them. Which made their day just a bit brighter. Barbara's life could be best summed up by those she loved and cherished the most. They were the people who knew and loved her. They included her husband John, her dog Harry, her children, and grandchildren who will be forever grateful to have had her in their lives. From her fiery quick-witted sense of humor to her absolute selflessness and love of her family. Barbara will be forever missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have had her in their lives. Barbara is survived by her husband, John W. Wigger, Brother Glen Riggs, Children Patrick T Gorman Jr. and Randy A Gorman, Stepchildren John S Wigger and Sheena M Stephens. Grandchildren Patrick Gorman III, Kali Stannard, Jenna Witkop, Cameron Gorman, Christopher Gorman, Logan Gorman, Ashton Gorman, Nicholas Gorman, Brantley Gorman. Step-grandchildren James Riley Gillikin, Cadence Gillikin, Alexis Wigger. Great Grandchildren Carter Witkop, Grayson Witkop, Lila Gorman. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Randolph Thomas Riggs, and Dorothy Gertrude Riggs, grandson, Joseph Alexander Gorman, and granddaughter, Brianna Wigger.
