Barbara Maxson

Obituary Barbara Chapman Maxson, 89, of Morehead City, died Monday, November 14, 2016, at Carteret Health Care. There will be a private family service at a later date in Maine. Mrs. Maxson was born July 29, 1927, in Bangor, Maine to Horace and Ethel Greeley Chapman. She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie M. Kenyon, of Vienna, VA., and Whitney Maxson, of Northford, Conn.; two sons, John Maxson, of McKinney, Texas, and Peter Maxson, of Northford, Conn; a brother, John Chapman of Hampden, Maine, and 4 grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Edgar Maxson. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Carteret County Humane Society, 853 Hibbs Rooad, Newport, NC 28570. A private service will be held by the family.
