A private graveside service will be held on Friday, December 30. She was born September 4, 1948 in South Boston, VA to Wesley Owen Ballou and Elsie Spencer Ballou. She is survived by her husband, Robbie Cook of Peletier; daughter, Lynn Boone Williamson and husband Jay of Durham; sons, Joseph Lawrence Boone and wife Patty of Newport and James Michael Boone and wife Jamie of Newport; brother, James T. Ballou and wife Leigh of Durham; grandchildren, Cameron Clayton Boone, Jolee Paige Boone and Chloe Mae Boone; nieces Katie Gardner and Mimi Ballou; and her pets, Dude and Mooch. In addition to her parents, her brother, Wesley Ballou, Jr., preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the charity of ones choice.
