Obituary Andrew Andy James Schwartz, 86, of Morehead City, died peacefully Saturday, April 4, 2015, at his home surrounded by loved ones. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at All Saints Anglican Church, with the pastor, Rev. David Linka, officiating. Mr. Schwartz was born in the Bronx, NY, on April 10, 1928, to James Andrew and Lucy Gordon Schwartz. Upon graduation from High School, Andy joined the US Navy In June, 1946, and served his country during WWII. He was honorably discharged in 1948, and immediately began work with the New York Times and retired as a photo engraver with them. Having lived in the Morehead City for the last 25 years, Mr. Schwartz was a member of the Ocean Lodge, #405, A. F. & A. M. and All Saints Anglican Church. He was an avid golfer. He loved all animals and was devoted to his pets. Andy enjoyed his family, and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was always happy and loved laughing. Andrew is survived by his wife, Janice Sanders Schwartz; 3 daughters, Kim Eichelberger, and husband, Jerry, of Mississippi, Mandy West-Frazier, and husband, Hilton, of Newport, and Holly West of Wilmington; sister-in-law, Billie Briggs of Long Island, NY; brother-in-law, Victor Reynolds of Morehead City; 3 grandchildren, Steven Adams, Darby Adams, and Jana Eichelberger; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Marjorie Tootie Schwartz.
