Obituary Aileen Hill Grissett, 92, of Morehead City, died July 29, 2017, at Crystal Bluffs Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Morehead City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at First Broad Baptist Church, Bostic, NC at 11:00 AM, with the pastor, Rev. Robert Bradley, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Grissett was born in Rutherford County, NC on March 31, 1925 to William Washington and Lois Lee Jones Hill. She and her husband moved to Morehead City in 1991. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, Morehead City. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Oppenheim, and her husband, Ken, of Raleigh, and Susan Poole, and her husband, Don, of Pell City, Alabama; sister, Dellaphine Bartlett, and husband, Richard, of Cherryville, NC ; brother, Coy Hill, and wife, Jean, of Golden Valley, NC; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Paschaloudis, and her husband, Stratos, of Raleigh; Nancy Franks, and her husband, Gerald, of Raleigh, and Jason Appling. and his wife, Shannon, of Birmingham, AL; 5 great grandchildren, Natalie, Nate, Lexi, Victoria and Kaleb; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Ottis Grissett, her brother, Charles Hill, and infant sister, Dellois Hill. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Crystal Bluffs for their compassionate care for Aileen over the past few years. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made in Mrs. Grissetts name to First Broad Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2470 NC Hwy 226, Bostic, NC 28018.
