Thomas 'Tommy' Lubniewski

Obituary Thomas "Tommy" Lubniewski, 78, of Beaufort, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Carolina East Medical Center of New Bern. Tommy was born on April 15, 1944, to John and Theresa Lubniewski in Cedarhurst, NY. He served in the US Navy from 1965-1969 on the USS Lynde McCormick (DDG 8). He married the love of his life Carol Provenzano in 1965, they resided in Inwood, NY until they retired to Beaufort in 2008. He was an active member of the VFW-Inwood NY, MBYC, and Carteret County AACA. He loved vintage cars and attending car shows. He won many awards for his restoration projects. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 17, 2023, of St. Egbert Catholic Church. He was survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol Lubniewski of Beaufort; daughter, Nicole Craft and husband, Ian of Flower Mound, TX; son, Joseph Lubniewski and wife, Sheri of Levittown, NY; four grandchildren, Marc and Jarrett Lubniewski, and Kayleigh and Hannah Craft; brother, William Lubniewski of Seaford, NY; sister, Jayne Patti and husband, Mike of Massapequa Park, NY; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, John and Theresa Lubniewski; and his sister, Patricia McMahon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers.
