Obituary Richard Lee Shelton, 96, of Newport, passed away on February 27, 2023, in Wilson, NC. A funeral service will be held at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home on March 4, 2023, at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls The Green Lantern has passed away. Richard Lee Shelton, upon recently tripping and falling over his lantern relinquished his powers and passed them on. Preceded in death by his parents: Henrietta & James Shelton, wife: JoAnn Shelton, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his wife: Catherine, Brother-In-Law: Kemp and his wife Carol, Children: Richard Jr. his wife Sharon, Robert his wife Carol, and Sue her husband Robert. 5 grandchildren. 3 greatgrandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
