Obituary Patricia Whitford Leary Pat Leary of Morehead City, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully Sunday May 4th. She was born June 8th, 1930 to Larry Alston and Duella Wade Whitford. She was married to Alan T. Leary, Jr. on October 15, 1949. In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter Elaine Wright and husband Michael; son Alan Leary, III and wife Christine, and son Michael Dustan Leary, all of Morehead City. Her grandchildren are Josh and Chris Wright and Nicki and Madison Leary. Her brothers are Larry Bertram Whitford and wife Carole of Raleigh, NC , Geoffrey Charles Whitford and wife Jackie of California and David Wade Whitford of California. She will also be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and former bridge club ladies. The family would also like to acknowledge the loving care and concern over the years given to Pat by Patricia Anderson and Martha McAdams who allowed her to remain at home. A private graveside ceremony will be held. The family will receive friends at the home of Alan and Christine Leary on Wednesday, May 7, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of ones choice in Pats honor. The family thanks all friends and relatives for their love and support. Pat and her loving and caring ways will continue to live on through her family and those who held her dear.
