Owen 'Ol' Persinger, Jr

Obituary Owen O.L. Persinger, Jr., of Newport, died Monday, July 13, 2015, at Carteret General Hospital. No services are scheduled. Mr. Persinger was born in Clifton Forge, VA to Owen and Ouida Persinger. He worked as a logger for most of his life. He is survived by his daughter, Georgia Dawn Jenkins of Kinston; a son, Owen L. Persinger, III, and two grandchildren. In addition to his parents, his wife Donna Nelson Persinger precedes him in death.
