Obituary Jenny Wise Spearman of Morehead City, NC died on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. A memorial service will be held at Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 3:00 PM. A reception will immediately follow the memorial service at the funeral home. Jenny was born on September 27, 1941 in Charlotte, NC to Jean Couch Eason and Arnold Jerome Eason. Her husband, James Henry Spearman (Jim) of Marshallberg, NC predeceased her in 2015. Her first husband Donald Joe Wise (Don) of Greensboro, NC died in 1993. She is survived by her son Arnold Elexander Wise (Xan) of Oriental, NC; her two granddaughters, Xoe Alexandria Wise of Chicago, II and Sidney Jane Phibbons and husband Brandon Phibbons of Oriental, NC; cherished great granddaughter, Paisly Elisabeth Phibbons; Sister, Margaret Lipe and husband John Lipe II of Salisbury, NC; niece Jenny Lipe Thurman of Salisbury, NC; nephew John Frank Lipe, III of Gastonia, NC; uncle, Rodney S. Eason; step daughters, Leigh S. Goodson and her husband, William A. Goodson II of Ridgewood, NJ, Rosanne S. Mitchell and her husband, Steve Mitchell of Tijeras, NM; stepdaughter Ann Pollock and husband Dr. Eddie Pollock of Winston-Salem, NC. Jenny graduated in 1959 from Boyden High School in Salisbury, NC, attended Queens College in Charlotte, NC, graduated from Pfeiffer College in 1963, and received her master degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1972. Jenny was a high school educator in Greensboro, NC and was an instructor at Greensboro College and Guilford College. Jenny lived life to the fullest at the coast where she loved to fish, crab and set nets. Her family and friends enjoyed her fabulous cooking often using the bounty she caught from the sea. Jenny lived an ambitious and virtuous life through her strength, humor, wonder and wisdom. Memorials in her honor may be made to the Carteret Country Humane Society, 853 Hibbs Rd. Newport, NC 28570.
